Believing that this ‘normal’ need not be lasting nor permanent, HopeLink exists to ‘change the normal’ for thousands each year.In an effort to provide a support network for those needing assistance in Henderson, HopeLink was founded in 1991 by Barbara Gomez and Pamela Erickson. Designated five years later by the State of Nevada as a full service Family Resource Center, HopeLink operates in that capacity today in sites all over the Las Vegas valley. Classes are best HopeLink is one of four state funded Family Resource Center (FRC) serving Southern Nevada with a jurisdiction covering Henderson, Southeast Las Vegas, and Boulder City. Our FRC case managers assist families and individuals in crisis with a continuum of services including emergency food assistance, bus passes for work or medical appointments ... Hopelink equips individuals and families with low incomes to remove the barriers to self-reliance. Barriers may be different for each individual. Our goal is to identify and meet the immediate need that is hindering them from moving forward with a job, school, financial stability, or a safe environment in order to achieve self-reliance. Community Van trips are scheduled in advance through a local Community Transportation Coordinator (CTC).
